Where is your warrior spirit, where is it hiding?
Calling your lion courage, your elk stamina, your buffalo stance.
Take it off the mantle, this gentleness is killing us.
While we humbly do our spiritual work,
And look at our sins, and grow our karma,
The other forces are enjoying --
A world of greed, a world of fear.
It matters. I know forgiveness is good.
And of course love is the way.
Yes, yes. Got it. We all got it.
The government won't save us.
Oh god, you do know that -- of course!
Our only hope is the power of our radiance, small in number
-- but fierce.
And to remember our native friends who know the hunt.
Time to dress with shield and sword and bow and arrow --
any armor that respects the fight.
You have to get up.
Or the storms will make you.
Raise your voice, raise your arms, raise anything!
Claim our spiritual land.
Take it back -- it is our time.
Dost thou know the balancing of the clouds?
Have you the guts?
To earn the real feathers of a warrior.
It is dangerous days,
And knights are needed.

We are all indigenous people.
We are the first people of this
planet, and we all have roots
that go back to the beginning
of time, as we know it.
Did you know just recently it
was found that most people on
earth have Neanderthal DNA?
Most of us are 4% cave man.
Wow! If that's not indigenous I
don't know what is. Being a na-
tive of this tribe or that tribe is
not what makes us indigenous
on this planet because we are all
native to one tribe: the tribe of
Humanity on planet Earth.
Being an earthling is what
makes us indigenous. Many of
us feel lost because we are miss-
ing that sense of connection.
But many people are working
hard to try and find that feeling
of community again. The very
Aquarian Internet is certainly
making that easier.
I believe as we near the end
of the Piscean era we are seeing
a lot of old souls reincarnating
at this time. They want to fulfill
their karmic contract in the Pi-
sces energy before the Aquarian
energy is completely here. This
would explain why there are so
many people here on Earth at
this time.
I think Karmically this goes
back to the sweep of Christiani-
ty across the European continent
in the early part of the first cen-
tury. Many indigenous beliefs
were cut short or co-opted into
Christianity at that time. When
people say, "Just give me some
of that old time religion," I don't
think they realize how old some
of those religious practices are.
Many Christian practices go back
to the original pagan practices of
the indigenous people of Europe
and the Middle East.
When the heavy hand of the
church swept threw Europe,
many people shifted their prac-
tices into the new religion. Myth
and folklore have kept many
ancient indigenous stories and
practices alive. Some have shift-
ed and changed to keep up with
the times but you can still find
the root by looking a little bit
deeper into the culture. A lot of
indigenous practices that have
been considered old folklore
practices and beliefs are coming
back into favor and increasing in
There are many indigenous
people around the world. Some
are on small islands and some
are in remote areas of very popu-
lated countries. Most of the time
when you read or hear about
indigenous people in the news,
they are talking about some
group or tribe that has not been
altered by the colonial expan-
sion that started in the 1500's.
That is when Europeans began
expanding into the new world.
Before that they were trying to
unify their own countries under
the social and economic orga-
nization of the church, which
at that time was the Catholic
Church before it splintered into
many branches of Christianity.
The return of pagan beliefs
and practices is also a return
of indigenous practices. Tattoos
started in Ancient Egypt and
India and have magical roots.
Some people still get tattoos for
magical and protective reasons.
Whenever I see a person with
tattoos I look to see if I recog-
nize some of the images.
Perhaps they are from some
ancient place and time that may
have lost its voice and expres-
sion due to human expansion.
Perhaps they are from a past life
Indigenous People
that was cut short and wants
to fulfill itself. When I see blue
tattoos I think of the inky blue
woad of the ancient Celtic tribes
or perhaps the dragons of the
Norse people.
As the pagan movement
grows in all its forms there are
an increasing number of people
wanting to know about their an-
cient heritage. And with this in-
terest in their roots there is an
understanding that we are all in-
terrelated and of one species.
There is also an understand-
ing that whatever your under-
standing of God or some other
spiritual or divine being is, it is
not necessarily an old white man

with a flowing white beard. Just
as humanity has many different
faces so does the divine. Women
and men all have a spark of the
divine in them.
I love the fact that so many
people want to know about their
roots and the ancient heritages.
The world is starting to recog-
nize the differences and the
wonderful richness and fullness
that diversity brings to everyone
on the planet.
