Traditional or Classical Feng
Shuiisanancientformofgeo-
mancy,adisciplinewell-regarded

ic,Egyptian,andofcourseChi-
nese--butwasforgottenasthose
ancientcivilizationsdisappeared
orevolved.TraditionalFengShui
wasonlyavailabletothoseinthe
highsocialclasses.Itwasn'tuntil

nasty,thatthegeneralpopulous
tocreatealifethatsupportsyou
inallareasofwealth,healthand
relationships.

namicscienceandisbasedonthe
compatibilitybetweenthebuild-
ingandtheoccupants.
Theancientscholarswhode-
veloped Feng Shui took into
considerationastronomy,mete-
orology,seismology,traditional
Chinese medicine and mathe-
matics,werewellversedinmath-
ematics,weatherpatternsandthe
internalmotionoftheEarth.The
Chineseweretenaciousindocu-
mentingtheresultsoftheirstud-
ies.
Observations were made for
atleastahundredyearsuntilan
officialformulaordiscoverywas
employed. Therefore, from the
thousandsofyearsofresearchand
observation,theChineseformed
a sophisticated body of knowl-
edgeknownasFengShui.
Thisdisciplineisrootedinthe
understandingofchi--translated
inEnglishas"life-forceenergy."
Chi is the building block from
which everything is made. The
flowofenergytoyourhomeor
buildingdictatesthequalityofa
site.TheChinesefiguredoutthat
throughtheenvironment,man-
madeornatural,lifecouldeither
besupportedordestroyed.
