O.K., I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for new gadgets, especially gadgets that involve health and fitness. So when I heard about the "Pres 2 Pure" portable water bottle by Ultra Pure, I knew it was only a matter of time before it would be on the shelf with my other gadget buddies.

The Press 2 Pure water bottle (made of flexible plastic) holds 18 or 24 ounces of water ‹ depending on the model. Press 2 Pure offers a variety of carry along bottles including: a 24 ounce Designer Bottle with 6 ounce Cup, a 24 ounce Sports Bottle with Drinking Straw, an 18 ounce Flexible Plastic Bottle, an Insulated Tote Bag with Carrying Strap, and replacement filters. The bottle is attractive looking, and will fit nicely in a mountain bike bottle holder, day pack or fanny pack.

The carbon filter reduces or removes pathogens such as cryptosporidium, giardia, bacteria and other cysts and spores. It also removes or reduces chlorine, volatile organic compounds, pesticides and detergents, along with dissolved solids such as aluminum, asbestos, cadmium, copper, lead and mercury.

And if you're concerned about Radon 222, the reduction rate was 99%!

The testing information is based on an average of three laboratories using strict EPA, ANSI and NSF protocol and methodology.

The Ultra Pure Press 2 Pure water bottle is great for everyday use, office, school, travel, camping, recreation and essential for emergencies like, ah . . . let's see, what is it that California is known for
. . . was it . . . earthquakes?
