Question? What swims in the ocean, can strike terror in the hearts of swimmers and bathers alike and also has been reported to assist in the body's fight against diseases like cancer? You guessed it, sharks! More specifically, shark cartilage.

Touted by some, maligned by others, shark cartilage is fast emerging as a remedy worth noting. In 1992 Dr. William Lane published a book entitled Sharks Don't Get Cancer, subtitled "How shark cartilage could save your life", in which his research indicated that shark cartilage:
