Finding True Wealth
By Jenny T. Liu, M.A.

In the realm of feng shui, everything is made of energy. Money is one kind of energy and we all have certain abilities to attract positive or negative money energy. Some of us actually repel money energy. In these cases, money opportunity comes their way, but somehow before they can attain it, it is gone. We all have certain karma with money and will find that we either attract it, make it for others, or continually see it go.

One main reason clients turn to feng shui is because they have financial problems. More often than not, we see people struggle in their relationship with money. Too little is a problem, too much is a problem.  How much money you want to make and how much money you can make are two questions you need to answer. It is good to dream and set goals, but important to be realistic about your abilities, desires, and needs.

How much money will support your lifestyle and bring you security? Many people wish to be wealthy beyond necessity, are never satisfied, or are addicted to money. Wanting more wealth than you really need, or that is
beyond your potential to make, can cause some people to steal, borrow, gamble, or become a moneymaking machine, thinking wealth will bring them happiness. Greed for wealth often works adversely, bringing stress, ailments, lawsuits, and greedy competitors that cause financial and social ruin in the end.

Before you put together that moneymaking plan, it is a good idea to find out what your relationship, earning potential, and karma with money is. Sometimes, you need to do certain things with your money to create balance in the world and with your karma before you can enjoy and receive wealth.

Your Zi Wei Do Shu birth chart is a great tool for learning about your energetic interaction with money. A birth chart reading can reveal your financial potential so you do not set yourself up for frustration and disappointment when it comes to your money.
If your potential is higher than your goals, the birth chart helps you rethink your strategies and make the most of opportunities.

Use your birth chart as a guide to find synchronicity between your level of self-satisfaction, compatible businesses, and your potential.

Learn about yourself so you can cultivate your strengths and minimize your weaknesses. When you know who you are in regards to wealth, you can set your sights on a path that will lead you to your ideal of wealth — whatever it may be. Many people do not have any idea of what they are supposed to do in life. Your birth chart provides clues as to why you are here, who you were in previous lives, and what your mission is in this life.

Your chart illuminates your life’s money cycles, tells which fields are strong for you, at what age you reach your wealth potential, and where you do best to establish yourself. When your field of work is synchronized with the current economic trends of wealth (in-cycle), money comes in more easily.

If your business is unsupported by the universal energies or is out of sync with your birth chart, you can always find ways to bolster your personal energy by adjusting your feng shui to compensate.

You might be following the right career path, but your field is in an economic slump, you are in the wrong place, or you simply haven’t reached the age of strong wealth on your chart; along with being patient for your field to improve again, take action by adjusting your office feng shui, relocating, or creatively marketing your business.

Another option when your field is out-of-cycle is to be open to evolving into a related field that is compatible. Perhaps your same skills and knowledge base can be reformatted for use in another field that is in-cycle. Be open minded about reframing your talents. You never know when a setback, such as the current struggling economy, will provide the impetus for something new and rewarding.

A birth chart reading that reveals insight as to who you are can save you a lot of heartache and guide you on a path of success and lasting wealth. Some people start this journey too late in life and cannot turn back, thus they do not reach their full potential.
Some people can see wealth and smell wealth, but can’t taste their wealth. Others can taste it only to choke on it. This said, it is very important to be aware of the negative stars on your birth chart that can cause financial obstacles or challenges.

Your birth chart gives personalized guidance on specific ways to release negative energy that can be applied to fine-tuning feng shui adjustments, meditations, exercise, nutrition, and relationships, rather than ignorantly falling prey to bad times.

Like true love, true wealth is when your career is fulfilling, allows you to grow, keeps you healthy, inspires happiness, gives you confidence, and provides a strong sense of balance in your life. When your career just pays the bills and your job makes you feel like a robot, or if the work you do creates negative karma, it is only a matter of time until the stress becomes “disease” that infects you as well as those around you.

Everything is connected. Our current global economic crisis is the karmic result of greed and taking natural and human resources for granted. On both the macro and micro scales, we must find the root of the problem. When attaining wealth, ask yourself if you want to make money with stressful or peaceful energy.

Remember cause and effect is an undeniable law of nature that will always manifest the truth to us. Everything will return to a balance sooner or later. We are a global family so realize that when you support yourself in a positive way, it resonates in the rest of the world.
