Imagine the scene up in the sky
Akitas with wings, if you can.
Imagine those proud dogs soaring by
Flying as easily as they once ran.
Protecting the angels, the human kind
As they protected while earthbound.
Still, even as angels, I doubt they'd mind
Much better than they did on the ground.
Though winged, now, they've still minds of their own
And can 't be easily foiled.
Imagine a Heaven, not the one now known
But where Winged Akitas ruled.
