FENG SHUI CONCEPTS
2008 Global Feng Shui Forecast
By Jenny T. Liu, M.A.
Come the Chinese Lunar New Year on February 7, 2008, energies shift and have
a different ability to affect and create certain natural phenomena all over the
world. By understanding the laws of nature through the
I Ching, 9 Star Charts, 5 Element Theory and the philosophy of feng shui,
we can get forecasts to provide us with the general political climate and
unusual weather patterns. With knowledge of the global forecast for 2008, you
can focus your energy on worthwhile endeavors and sidestep negative energies.
Knowing how to adjust your feng shui is the best global contribution you can
make towards raising the positive vibration of the planet.
Center
At the center of the globe are
Europe and the Middle East. In the U.S., the central regions include the
states of
Kansas and
Oklahoma. These regions will be vulnerable to earthquake, avalanche and
flooding. Governments in these central regions may be involved with or disrupted
by corruption, mafia, terrorist or unethical money transactions. The death toll
in the Middle East continues to rise. Sex becomes a common commodity, increasing
sexual disease and female disorders. Exposure to sex, violence and drugs at
younger ages lead to an increase of underage crimes. At the same time, spiritual
leaders open new schools encouraging meditation, enlightenment and awareness of
life to create balance and find solutions.
North
Star 6 promotes the north regions bringing Scandinavia and the northern states
of the U.S. better economics in fields related to water, entertainment, birth,
sex and travel. Star 2 and 9 show famous female scholars rising from the
northern regions. Because the fire Star 9 is dominant, northern regions may also
experience higher temperatures, fire hazards or drought. The north direction is
associated to the zodiac of the Rat. When a direction matches up with the
current year’s zodiac, that direction becomes aligned and disrupted by unstable
or transitional energies known as “tai shui.” This can bring unexpected problems
and increase chances of natural disasters in northern regions.
South
The violating earth Star 5 enters the south with double masculine water Stars 1
this year. Southern states,
South Africa and
Brazil are vulnerable to water disaster and heavy rains. There is
possibility of warfare, violence, rebellion or a disease epidemic. The double
masculine Star 1 indicates that the southern regions will likely experience an
increase of sexual disease, and a high level of import/export in oil or water
particularly with
China. Because the south and north are aligned directions, the south will
also be impacted by the unstable “tai shui” frequencies. We can expect
violations, criminal activity or under-the-table dealings in the southern
regions. However, over the long run, Southern regions enjoy economic wealth and
opportunities with strong investment in
South Africa,
Brazil and the southern U.S. states.
East
Star 8 enters the east and brings mass development in
China. Star 7 and 4 show that western investors and deforestation
threatens China’s natural resources and the quality of their food. The pollution
created in China’s race to be an economic world leader will have detrimental
effects. This is especially true for their children who will suffer digestive,
liver and allergy problems. A rising number of young male entrepreneurs will
become new billionaires in Eastern countries. The price of Chinese manufacturers
and laborers will go up. There will be conflicts and uprisings among the
civilians. Still, for the time being, greedy politicians and business leaders
will reap what benefits there are, even if they are short sighted and inhumane.
Southeast
Boosted by southeast wood energies, the feminine Star 9 shows fame for female
artists, actresses or spokeswomen in Southeast Asia and
Australia. Fire Star 9 brings fire hazards, heated debates, revolt or
uprisings against government policies in the southeast. Violating earth Star 5
joins metal Star 6, bringing corruption and illegal transactions. Southeast
region leaders are not as focused and are likely to make poor decisions or be
involved in questionable deeds. Conflicts of interest may spur disputes between
the United States and
China in southeast countries.
Northwest
Earth Star 2 promotes the masculine metal energies of the northwest. This
creates scholarship and new technologies that bring wealth to leaders in the
northwest regions. High-level spiritual and religious masters rise to the
forefront. Real estate is likely to remain stable in
Canada,
Washington and
Oregon. The feminine metal Star 7 overcomes the wood Star 4, creating
wealth and intense competition among female leaders, as well as power struggles
between industrial and environmental protection groups.
West
Star 3 in the west will create strong business for entertainment, defense and
industry. Star 3 is related to the east, so there may be conflicts between the
U.S. and
China related to economic, military and trading policies. Earth Star 8 is
defeated by Star 3, creating property damage by earthquake, hurricane and flood.
Real estate will slow down with more foreclosures and troublesome financial
issues. Earth also relates to our body and health. With the defeating wood Star
3, there are likely to be legal problems with the medical system in the west.
Southwest
Star 7 sets the southwest stage to be recognized by sexually-charged female
musicians, movie stars and socialites. Cinemas, theaters and concert halls will
be filled with fans in southwest regions as the entertainment industry rocks on
and the economy remains stable. This glorification of sex can bring about an
increase of psychiatric problems associated with love stress. Congested traffic,
fire hazards and psychological disorders can result in an increase in suicide
and violence in
California and
South America. Star 3 defeats Star 8, forecasting that foreclosures and
bankruptcy increase as real estate and interest rates adjust in the southwest
states.
Northeast
Star 4 flies in with storms and typhoons bringing property damage to the
northeast regions such as the New England states, Tibet and
Mongolia. Children in these regions are particularly vulnerable to the
stomach flu, injury or falling into harm’s way. Star 9 promotes Star 2 show that
female criminals and unethical businesses increase. Elderly women in the
northeast regions may be vulnerable to major scams and need to be very careful
with their money.
