Fall in Love at the Women’s Festival
Featuring Patricia Lynn Reilly
By Rev. Joanne Tucker

Imagine a woman who has a great relationship with herself — a woman who has grown in knowledge and loves herself. Is this possible, and if it is, what does a woman do to achieve this kind of life?

Patricia Lynn Reilly, the author of “Imagine a Woman in Love with Herself” and “I Promise Myself,” beckons women of all ages to explore their natural God-Woman Self by expressing self-love and self-commitment at seminars, retreats, churches, and conferences throughout the country. This well-known author and spiritual guide counsels women, “to grow in knowledge and love yourself, vowing faithfulness to your own deepest truth and wisdom. Remain loyal to yourself. Regardless.”

As keynote speaker of the Fourth Annual Women’s Festival on June 2-3, hosted by the Center for Spiritual Discovery in Costa Mesa, Patricia Lynn Reilly shows women how to fall in love with their own lives by helping them dive deep into a soul-filled experience. She asks women to dream the “possible” dream.

“Imagine a woman who has acknowledged the past’s influence on the present, walked through her past and healed into the present. Imagine a woman who authors her own life, moves on her own behalf and loves her own body. Imagine a woman who honors the face of the Goddess in her changing face while celebrating the accumulation of her years and her wisdom. Imagine yourself as this woman,” writes Reilly.

The theme of this year’s Women’s Festival is “Diving Deep and Surfacing: Reclaiming the Treasures of a Woman’s Spiritual Life.” On June 2, the festival opens at 7 p.m. with light refreshments and then moves into the center’s lavishly-decorated sanctuary, which has been transformed into a watery wonderland.

In this sacred space, women “dive deep” in a room draped with exquisite ocean-colored fabrics and inhabited by a variety of beautiful sea creatures, large clam shells filled with pearls and hanging lighted jelly fish. It is in this peaceful and quiet atmosphere where rituals and ceremonies take place to prepare each woman for her inner-dream work: living the life she has always wanted to live.

The evening culminates at 9 p.m. with an outdoor ceremonial fire ring where participants take a leap of faith and release old hurts, losses and unpleasant experiences. “This courageous jump,” says ritual leader Dr. Joanne Coleman, “is the first step on the journey toward creating a new life filled with self-love and self-acceptance.” Then, Dr. Coleman takes the women on a “call to adventure,” which she says opens the way for Saturday’s all-day “love yourself” festival.

Saturday’s festivities will feature Patricia Lynn Reilly’s seminar “Imagine a Woman in Love with Herself.” In addition, there is altar building and a cave-like Delphi Oracle experience. Throughout the day, enlightening workshops and a variety of entertainment are offered as well as an array of vendors from psychics to food, to clothing and jewelry, and many more. Before the day ends at 5 p.m., each woman takes a vow of faithfulness to her own life.

Patricia’s published writings include: “A God Who Looks Like Me,” “Be Full of Yourself,” “Imagine a Woman in Love with Herself,” and “I Promise Myself.” Each of her books whispers an invitation to women of all ages, which says; “Return home to yourself, reclaiming your natural resources and capacities. Grow in knowledge and love of yourself, vowing faithfulness to your own deepest truth and wisdom. Remain loyal to yourself. Regardless.”
