Tips on Keeping Mind and Body Young

Dear Readers,
Yes, there does exist a sweet and amazingly effective “Good-Night” Mental Massage. It’s all part of the Perpetual Youth Pie devoted to being truly in touch with creative energy mindpower. But surely the rejuvenating, creative mind is no stupid, war-mongering machine, not a destructive mind. For the truly creative mind utilizes  a process I’ve come to know as “auto- suggestion” — surely a process which holds vast possibilities.

Again consider this: the conscious mind utilizes only ten percent of one’s brain power, while the subconscious part — the part tapped into by hypnotherapy and auto-suggestion — accesses the remaining 90 percent. Indeed, so effective is post-hypnotic suggestion, that many hospital burn-units now use it as a way to ease the pain of their worst burn victims, with the amazing part being that not only does auto-suggestion stop even badly burned people from feeling pain, but it affects the healing process so deeply that the burns of hypnotized patients produce minimal scarring.

Studies show that people are most susceptible to auto-suggestion when we are most relaxed, which means that a good time to give yourself an auto-suggestion is just before you go to sleep. This is because ordinary midday consciousness (called “beta” consciousness) is too distracted by other things to be penetrated by auto-suggestion as easily as during “alpha”-level consciousness, that highly relaxed time just before drifting into dreamland.

And then later, when you are in the deep sleep of “delta level” consciousness, an auto-suggestion will manifest its deepest effect, an effect which can be potent enough to cause greatly positive physical changes to your body. Again, this is because the mind first sees before the body does (remember that mental test I mentioned earlier, pointing out how, if you picture yourself kicking a beach ball, you will automatically feel your leg twitch along with the visualized kick?)

But the potent forces involved with auto-suggestion involve much more than simple mind games, which is why organizations such as the Heartmath Institute (of New Mexico) are now finding that purely mental pictures can cause inner sound and light patterns to Affect us so deeply that even our DNA structure  can be altered via messages from the mind. Also, consider the premise that because about a third of our life is spent sleeping (and therefore dreaming), surely there must be some healing purpose for that consciousness other than simply rest.

And so if we take the realization of inner-visualization-creates-outer-effect to its most appealing conclusion, we can then confidently use auto-suggestion for purposes of personal rejuvenation. And if you’re interested in trying out some auto-suggestive techniques (tonight perhaps) — then I recommend doing so in the following manner:

Step one in doing this is to clear your mind of all thoughts and internal dialogue as you ready yourself for sleep. (Note: If you ever have difficulty falling asleep, you might try imaging that Internal Sun (as depicted on page 93 of The Rejuvenator’s Bible) — eyeing that radiating fountain of light bathing your insides with healing slumber). Also, note that studies reveal sleeping on your back is better (both for breathing and your spine) than sleeping on your stomach, and it’s also better for your face, as prolonged laying with your cheek pressed against a pillow can cause skin to sag and pressure-wrinkling. Sleeping on your stomach can also cause (whoops) annoying drooling.

Anyway, even if you prefer sleeping on your stomach, ideally one begins an auto-suggestion by relaxing your feet and leg muscles, and then working your way up to your neck and face, taking special care to relax that jaw, because a tense, teeth-grinding jaw can be a fierce deterrent to the tranquil state needed for a successful auto-suggestion.

After relaxing yourself muscle-by-muscle, working from your feet upward, when you feel fully at ease and comfortable, then is the time to say something refreshingly positive to yourself such as:

“Good night, young man,” (or “young woman,” as the case may be) — perhaps following that thought with something more elaborate like: “Sweet dreams, freshly reborn generator of healing light.”

And then you might take the suggestion a few steps further by saying something to the effect of: “And when I awake, I will feel refreshed and renewed, looking better and younger than I have for a very long time.” Or sometimes I direct the penetration of my message to specific areas, telling my mindpower image-maker to work on forehead lines and/or “crows feet” — or the energy-roots of my hair. For more than just directing messages to these particular places, I’m directing energy, the same omnipresent sparks of light-energy (CE) that you see with closed eyes (or shimmering all around you in a dark room) — again, the same omnipresent energy which creates and re-creates all  bodily cells.

Another effective pre-sleep auto-suggestion is this: just before you doze off, try to remember what you looked like at an ideal time, perhaps back when you were in your early or mid-20s, whatever your age was when you were the most healthfully attractive (which could even be right now, whereby auto-suggestion helps you keep  your present condition).

Just recently, following some pre-sleep auto-suggestions, while in the deep slumber of “delta level” consciousness, I saw a very pleasing image of myself in a dream, seeing my face looking like it did back when I was 18 or 19 — a truly clear and startling vision. And just as I expected, the following morning when glancing at a mirror — HELLO! — a younger, fresh-faced Jesse appeared. As I’m again re-minded that what you see, feel and will IS what you get, and “the greater the will the greater the flow of energy.”

Also, when it feels right, I do a pre-sleep visualization which pictures (and feels) my forehead being smoothed and stroked by a good-hearted, body-soothing angel. This is a very nice feeling indeed, and a relaxing way to fall asleep, while also opening up (perhaps unused) positive brain passages — accessing some of that 90 percent of our untapped mental capacity for self-induced healing.

Okay, I admit that skeptic-tankers might say that results gained via mindpower methods such as auto-suggestion may be somewhat “un-scientific” results — but results are results and what gets it done gets it done. And what gets the job done should CONTINUE to get it done, for what works once can work THOUSANDS of times. This is a truly good thing to know — to catch a truly rejuvenating fire and then REALIZE it . . . For it’s only true realization that brings TRUE renewal…
