How to Create A Better Living Environment

In today's economic situation, many people are experiencing "Toxic Environment Syndrome" both externally and internally.

What is Toxic Environment Syndrome? Toxic Environment Syndrome is a cluster of symptoms that appear as a result of your external and internal environments.

External Toxic Environment:
Your living environment can make you ill. For example, water leaks in an apartment, poor air ventilation in an office building, or high mold count in the air of a city can be External Toxic Environment.

Dampness in the environment can also be a health hazard. I have clients who live in ocean-front condos in California, and others who live in the green woods in Oregon. They both suffer from Toxic Environment Syndrome. A dusty living environment is also an incubator for yeast and parasites.

The common cause for External Toxic Environment is the overgrowth of fungi. The fungus has an extended family that consists of at least 100,000 to 250,000 species. They include yeast, mold, mildew, rot, smut and mushrooms. As I state repeatedly, yeast is the root of all evil so far as physical health is concerned. To make the situation worse, yeast and parasites have a symbiotic relationship. They are like Siamese Twins. When there is yeast, there are parasites!

Internal Toxic Environment:
Your internal environment refers to your mental or emotional state. You might have created a toxic internal environment that makes you allergic to life! If you are worried about today's economy on top of your pent-up anger, resentment, regret, guilt, or fear, you are living in an internal toxic environment! All these negative emotions can wear down your immunity and make you susceptible to External Toxic Environment. The external and internal toxic environment can interplay and deplete your overall well-being.

Symptoms of Toxic Environment Syndrome:
A common cluster of symptoms range from head to toe. Following are some examples:

Head: Foggy mind, poor concentration, sinus congestion, headaches, sore throats, mid-ear infections, depression, or lethargy.

Lungs: Asthma, bronchitis, persistent coughing, or mucous.

Digestive Tract: Heartburn, acid reflux, bloating, stomach pain, or poor absorption of nutrients.

Extremities: Bursitis, arthritis-like aches and pains, fibromyalgia, poor circulation, cellulite, fungal nails, or athlete's foot. Skin: Acne, skin rash, psoriasis, or eczema.

Endocrine System: hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), Pre-menstrual Syndromes (PMS), hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain, or weight loss (it's not necessarily a lucky case!).

Reproductive System: loss of libido (no sexual desire), infertility, endometriosis, or prostatitis.

Elimination System: constipation, diarrhea, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, hemorrhoids, itchy anus, or bladder infections.

If you feel that I am describing some of your symptoms, chances are you are suffering from Toxic Environment Syndrome. Luckily everything is fixable! The following are some recommended remedies:

Clean up your physical environment:
Increase your awareness of the impact of your physical environment on your health. Keep your home clean and dry to avoid the overgrowth of mold. If you are allergic to flower pollen, you might want to trim the shrubs and trees in your yard to minimize effects. If necessary, move to a cleaner and dryer home.

If chemicals in your carpet make you sick, you might want to live in a home with hardwood floors that are easier to keep clean and dry. If you are allergic to hair dyes, you need to search for hair dyes with natural ingredients that your body can tolerate, or simply choose health over beauty.

Pay special attention to your bathroom and kitchen. They need to be cleaned regularly and thoroughly. Make sure that the air ventilation is good in these areas. Avoid clutter. Routinely clean up your desk and the corners of your home. Recycle unused newspapers, magazines, books, and old mail; they collect dust and incubate yeast.

Anti-yeast Nutritional Program:
You need to clean up the environment outside and inside your body. Adopting an Anti-Yeast Nutritional Program starves the existing yeast and parasites in your body so they will not increase the population of your "unwanted tenants."  The principles of this nutritional program include no sugar, no dairy, no wheat, no yeast, no alcohol, no caffeine, no nicotine, and no chemicals.

Some of you may cry out loud, "What can I eat?  All the no-no's are my regular diet!"  That's the problem! The Standard American Diet creates a lot of SAD stories. If you want to get well, you need to learn to feed your body, instead of feeding your little enemies: yeast and parasites.

Herbal Therapy:
To accelerate healing, you need to consider herbal formulas specifically designed to remove yeast and parasites simultaneously, and to cleanse your liver and kidneys. Clean Your Emotional House:
Cleaning your physical environment is only part of the game. More importantly, you need to clean your internal, emotional environment. Releasing anger, resentment, fear, regret, or guilt will set you free. When you feel free emotionally, your sensitivity to your external environment will be minimized.
