Shaman Wisdom, Shaman Healing
Deepen Your ability to Heal with
Visionary & Spiritual Tools & Practices
By Michael Samuels, M.D. and
Mary Rockwood Lane, Ph.D.
Why is it that in this day and age highly sophisticated and well-educated healthcare professionals are turning to the ancient healing practices from indigenous cultures around the world? I guess the best answer to that question would be found in the new book “Shaman Wisdom, Shaman Healing” — because for centuries these ancient practices have worked!

What authors Dr. Michael Samuels and Dr. Mary Rockwood Lane have discovered is when you integrate Western and Eastern healing techniques the recovery rate for healing increases. Where-as in Dr. Samuel’s prior books he focuses on guided imagery therapy for treatment of patients with cancer and other diseases, in the new book “Shaman Wisdom, Shaman Healing,” Drs. Samuels and Lane introduce a new figure in contemporary healing: The Shaman Healer. Drawing from Native American and Asian practices, academic research and experience from their medical practices, Samuels and Lane show you how to heal the soul and cleanse the body and spirit.

This remarkable book will bring hope and practical help to anyone coping with an illness, and it offers powerful spiritual tools of the ancient Shaman for modern healers. A must for every bookshelf.

The Man Who Knew The Medicine
The Teachings of Bill Eagle Feather
By Henry Niese
Author Henry Niese, an apprentice of the legendary Lakota Sun Dance Chief Bill Eagle Feather since 1975, has put together a magical wondrous book full of wisdom and mystery called “The Man Who Knew the Medicine.” Bill Eagle Feather gained widespread recognition in the 1960’s as an uncompromising spiritual leader when he defied a U.S. government ban on Native American religious practices and performed a public Sun Dance ritual. He continued to perform rituals and pass down sacred medicine until his death in 1980.

As a participant in over 100 ceremonies, author Henry Niese shares his experiences and the healing work of Bill Eagle Feather in “The Man Who Knew The Medicine.” As an initiate, Niese describes vividly his Vision Quests, Shamanic practices, and his role as an Elder himself in the Sioux reservation tradition.

These firsthand accounts will reel the reader into a 4th dimension portal that shows the sacredness of our lives here on earth and an in-depth look into the values and spiritual truths of the Sioux. A fascinating account that is hard to put down!

Tenzin’s Deer
A Tibetan Tale
Written by Barbara Soros
Illustrated by Danuta Mayer
This beautiful children’s book is a poignant story about a Tibetan boy born under a brilliant comet, which made him “wiser than his years”. With intricate and colorful illustrations complementing the tale of Tenzin and his deer, this book is perfect for those wishing to impart a spiritual message to their children, as it encompasses the world of dreams, healing and good morals.

Tenzin is kind to both animals and people, and his tenderness reflects the innate compassion prevalent in our young ones today. It encourages and inspires them to do the right thing and to keep their intuitive nature alive as Tenzin does. This is demonstrated in the book by Tenzin’s dream that he will be able to heal a friend with a flower root! The next day he finds a wounded deer dying, and heals it with the botanical remedy presented to him in his dream. He nurtures the deer until one day the deer psychically tells him he is healed. Tenzin cries, but also feels the Deer’s joy as he runs to join other animals of his kind.

This sweet story ends as Tenzin grows up to be a doctor, a loving husband and father who teaches children to be loving and kind. An excellent book for adults and children alike!
