Permanent Weight Control

One out of three Americans are overweight. Whether you are struggling with 10 pounds, 100 pounds, or more, the information in this article will help you. Based on more than 30 years of experience healing myself and thousands of clients, I have found that the only way to achieve permanent weight control is by using a holistic approach with commitment and discipline. No fad diet, appetite-inhibiting drugs, fat-burning herbs, liposuction, stomach stapling, jaw wiring, or hypnosis can create a long lasting result. You must be willing to clean up physical and mental toxins and spiritual traumas simultaneously in order to free yourself from the burden of excess weight.

Causes of Overweight Conditions
Physical Toxins from Yeast and Parasitic Infections:

Every human being, at one time or another, to a greater or lesser degree, suffers from yeast and parasitic infection. The symptoms can be expressed from head to toe. One of the common symptoms is overweight. Yeast and parasites can weaken your thyroid function and cause low metabolism. They also can cause you to crave sugar, dairy, wheat, and yeast products, which are their favorite foods. After they have a rock ‘n roll party in your body, they deposit toxins that create all kinds of allergy symptoms. People who are prone to yeast and parasitic infection usually have had pre-existing conditions such as cancer, AIDS, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), or addictions to alcohol, drugs, cigarettes, or sugar.

Physical Toxins From Poor Dietary Habits:
An average American eats 120 pounds of sugar per year. From birth to age 70, on the average, an American eats eight cows, nine pigs and 15,000 eggs. A well-balanced diet should contain less than 20% fat, less than 20% protein and more than 40% complex carbohydrates. Excess intake of fat, protein and sugar can turn into an over-storage of fat. Americans also tend to overeat or eat at irregular hours. Some skip breakfast and others have big meals right before bedtime. Irregular hours and portions can confuse your biological clock and jeopardize your metabolic function.

Mental Toxins from Unresolved Emotional Issues:
An overweight condition is a signal from your mind to your body that you need to protect yourself with extra weight. Those of you who feel insecure because of traumas that occurred in the earlier part of your life tend to engage in emotional eating. Every time a current life event triggers the feelings associated with previous traumas, such as sexual molestation or physical and/or emotional abuse, you will have a tendency to use food to comfort yourself. Food is a symbol of love and comfort across cultures. Food has become a mistaken substitute for the love and approval for which you have been starving.

Mental Toxins from Chronic Negative Thinking:
More than 95% of human beings are addicted to negative thinking. When you allow your ego to take charge, you become engulfed in fear, anger, resentment, guilt, and regret. These negative emotions can wear down your immunity and metabolism, and jeopardize your total well being. When you are not in the right state of mind, you tend to feed your body with the wrong kinds of food. I call this GIGO — garbage in, garbage out.

Mental Toxins from Spiritual Trauma:
For those of you who believe in reincarnation, this section can be fascinating. Through conducting past-life therapy with my clients for more than 15 years, I found that many of them suffered from traumas associated with food in previous lives — for example, starvation as a result of war. Personal or societal economic hardships in a past life usually will result in eating disorders in this life. Years of traditional psychotherapy may not resolve the embedded spiritual issues until past-life therapy is employed.

Most of you are aware that excess weight is a very costly health problem which can be associated with life-threatening conditions such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, respiratory disorders, gallbladder disease and metabolic dysfunction. Being overweight can negatively affect health, appearance, self-esteem, and even earning potential. Some researchers estimate that each pound of extra fat can cost an executive $1,000 a year in income. The following are methods proven to be effective for my clients and myself for more than three decades.

Treatment for Overweight Conditions
Anti-Yeast Nutritional Program:
The first step toward the right direction is to wean yourself from foods containing sugar, dairy, wheat, yeast, alcohol, caffeine, nicotine and chemicals. Stop putting poisonous or highly allergic foods into your body. Give your thyroid a chance to rest and regenerate. Allow your body to avoid the assault of wrong foods, and be nourished by nutrients from the right kind of foods. Chinese Herbal Therapy:
For those of you who have a long history of being overweight, you need to consider herbal formulas specifically designed for weight control as an additional measure. An anti-yeast nutritional program is for giving your body a new start; while an herbal program is for eliminating the existing toxins in your body and revitalizing your sluggish metabolism. A well-formulated herbal program for weight control should have the following three functions:

1. Control Your Appetite:
Most Americans overeat. When I traveled in Europe, I noticed my American friends were often surprised by the relatively smaller portions of food they got in European restaurants. A traditional Chinese belief is that you should not eat more than a handful of food for each meal. For those of you who love to eat, you would probably wish that you had a larger hand (smile)! Even though some of you are well aware of what you should eat and what you shouldn’t eat, when an abundance of food is available, your willpower often gives in. Luckily, a well-put-together herbal formula can curb your appetite naturally without your trying hard!

2. Eliminate Fats from Foods:
As mentioned previously, the Standard American Diet (SAD) usually contains 40% to 60% fat in any given meal (a cheeseburger is a good example.)  If you wish to reduce your weight, you need to learn to eat sensibly and avoid foods containing high amounts of fat. However, as a human being, sometimes you deviate, knowingly or unknowingly. A good herbal formula for weight control will also eliminate a good portion of the fat you put in your body. In other words, before the newly ingested fats have a chance to be stored in your body, these herbal formulas will be able to expel them, provided that you are not overloading your body with fatty foods all the time.

3. Burn the Existing Fat in Your Body and Turn It into Energy:

In addition to preventing new fats from getting into or being stored in your body, the third function of an effective herbal weight control formula is to burn the existing fat in your system and turn it into useful energy. As a result, you will feel energetic, mentally clear and productive. You might go through a period of cleansing crisis if you have a lot of toxins accumulated in your system. Before your body can function at its optimal level, it has to clean house!  Drink a lot of water or caffeine-free herbal tea to flush the debris; therefore, the cleansing and purging processes can be facilitated.

Spiritual Psychotherapy:
All physical symptoms are reflections of your emotional and spiritual state. In addition to using an anti-yeast nutritional program and Chinese herbal therapy to clean up your physical toxins, you also need to clean up your emotional and spiritual toxins with spiritual psychotherapy. Basically, you need to define the purpose of your life and remember who you really are. We all chose our destiny when we were born into any given life. No matter what kind of life situation we are in, we are given an opportunity to prove that we have the strength, tenacity, wisdom and faith to overcome obstacles and excel.  The only way to get out of the rut of a dysfunctional life situation is to exercise unconditional love.

Once you can release the negative emotions toward those who have done you wrong, you can release the negative past that has been haunting you. When you no longer carry the old baggage, you no longer carry the excess weight! Love and respect yourself as the most unique, creative and miraculous person in the universe. If you cannot accomplish this on your own, seeking help from a spiritually-oriented, well-grounded therapist can be fruitful.

Your weight and health problems did not occur overnight. Naturally, becoming trim and getting well takes time. Only your complete understanding of the illness and wellness process, commitment, and patience will bring you positive and permanent results!
