Samuel Goldwyn Films and Roadside Attractions announce the February, 2006 theatrical release of “What the BLEEP — Down the Rabbit Hole”; the hot new version that morphed out of an enormously successful international film phenomenon “What the BLEEP Do We Know!?” “This is an extension as well as an evolution upon the 2004-2005 version,” says Meyer Gottlieb, President of Samuel Goldwyn Films. “It goes much further into the subject that millions of viewers found not only fascinating, but life-altering.”
“What the BLEEP — Down the Rabbit Hole” contains never before seen footage, including deleted scenes, an hour and 45 minutes of brand new interviews, and three new sets of animated footage, including “Dr. Quantum Visits Flatland”. It is sure to WOW Bleep fans and newcomers alike.
Fast paced and intelligent, this movie is the riposte to criticism that quantum mechanics, consciousness studies and movie audiences do not mix.
“What the BLEEP — Down the Rabbit Hole” presents stunning new experimental results further supporting the mind-bending concepts contained in the first film. It dives deep into Alice’s rabbit hole, exploring and explaining the weird science of the quantum realms affecting our everyday reality... whether we know it or not!
Already an ongoing independent film phenomenon, the original film, affectionately known as BLEEP, has: grossed over 12 million in the U.S., been released in 15 countries with more openings every month; sold over one million DVDs, and surfed Amazon.com’s Top DVD best-seller list for eight months straight.
In addition, BLEEP has produced a national tour of six science and mind conferences, drawing thousands of people from California to Florida who want to learn more about the ground-breaking science of consciousness, quantum physics, and their religious implications.
The movie has also inspired over one hundred international study groups as well as two books: “The Little Book of Bleeps”, one of Neilson BookScan’s Top 10 New Age trade paperbacks, and “What the Bleep Do We Know!?”TM Discovering the Endless Possibilities For Altering Your Everyday Reality”, published by HCI.
Written and produced by William Arntz, Betsy Chasse and Mark Vicente of Lord of the Wind Films, LLC, “What the BLEEP — Down the Rabbit Hole” is a hybrid movie/documentary that combines cutting-edge scientific information with a modern story-line about an unhappy, anti-depressant-addicted photographer whose life unravels into a swirl of chaotic occurrences as she learns there is more to her life and her “problems” than meets the eye.
Starring Academy Award-winning actress Marlee Matlin, Barry Newman, and sixteen of the world’s most noted physicists, neurochemists, physicians, and metaphysicians, “What the BLEEP — Down the Rabbit Hole” with its state-of-the-art animation, reflects the filmmakers’ personal evolution and answers audience’s unprecedented demand for an even deeper film experience. “People are telling us how grateful they are for a film that not only entertains, but informs as well,” says Chasse. “This version was created out of an enormous audience appetite for more. We listened, and we hope we delivered.”
“It was quite a challenge to go further into these concepts and entertain at the same time,” says Producer/Director William Arntz. “The Rabbit Hole Director’s Cut is a totally new film experience for the audience Hollywood didn’t think existed. And it is truly revolutionary — not only in its content, but in its unique form as well.”
