Why Annual Forecasts and Feng Shui
Adjustments Benefit You
By Jenny T. Liu, MA.

In this new Millennium there is evidence of a new spiritual awakening. My father, my family, and I believe that those who desire to live better lives and be a positive attribute to society will seek out the knowledge to do so, and will be led to the right resources. We are inspired by this to be a knowledgeable, experienced resource, and to provide the opportunity to learn.

There is so much needless struggle due to ignorance in the world. With the current economy, we feel that if more people are aware of how to use feng shui to their advantage and create positive change in their lives, the greater contribution they will bring to the whole of humanity.

About 99% of houses in the United States are not built according to feng shui, and are therefore imbalanced and unsupportive of the residents. This imbalance is reflected in the compromised health, education, morale, family structure, and economy of our country as a whole.

Currently, many people are aware of feng shui, but they don't realize feng shui is not something you do only once. Just like you need to eat well, get enough sleep, and exercise every day to maintain good health, you cannot expect that making feng shui adjustments only once will bring you harmony forever. You need to make annual adjustments because the universal energies and their effect on you changes every single year.

Many are unaware of what goes into making an effective feng shui recommendation. What may seem like an arbitrary placement of a crystal here or a sculpture there, or positioning the bed a certain way, is really a calculation based on an interpretation of astrological interaction and the laws of nature. This interpretation of energies and their subsequent effect on different regions of the world or in your personal home and office is called a forecast.

Cosmic interaction is calculated through the Flying Nine Star Theory, which charts and calculates positions and movements of the sun, moon, stars, and planets in our cosmos. Each of these entities carries a unique energy. When these energies interact with each other, they have an effect on earth and its inhabitants.

Based on the year your house was built or last remodeled, the Flying Nine Star Chart forecasts potential energetic situations that may occur in different parts of your house. For example, your Nine Star Chart might forecast that the middle-age man sleeping in the northwest bedroom is prone to respiratory ailments. With this knowledge, feng shui adjustments can be recommended to modify imbalanced energy in your environment and offset this potential problem.

The Laws of Nature are interpreted through the Five Element Theory, which categorizes every animate and inanimate being in the world into a type of energy. Further knowledge of which elements promote each other, and which elements defeat each other allows us to create natural balance. Once we know the primary elements you are comprised of, we then know which feng shui items, colors and arrangements to use to balance you with your environment.

With the proper training and intuitive confidence, the Flying Nine Star Theory is very reliable for forecasting global, regional, local, and personal events each year. For example, in 2008, many of the Liu Feng Shui, Inc. forecasts proved true:

- In the south we have the 5 Star - the violating Star of disaster. In the south of China we had a terrible earthquake and in the southern United States, a large hurricane hit Texas.

- In the center, the 1 Star is related to water, spirituality, the male, and the color black. In the United States of America, Barack Obama was recently voted President-elect.

- The 2 Star is in the northwest and I predicted a female leader coming from that direction. We recently saw Sarah Palin as vice presidential candidate for the Republican Party.

- In the east we have the 8 Star, which brings booming energy. This year, China hosted the Olympics and set a world record by winning forty-eight gold medals.

On a personal level, in 2008 many of my clients - especially those born in the year of the Rat and Horse going through their year of challenge - received a warning about the instability of the stock market from our 2008 forecasts and avoided investing. I received many calls thanking me for the forewarning, as it saved them great financial loss.

Life is a journey and each year is a new destination. Just as you would do if you were going on a vacation, you can plan your life. Find the best places to go in your life, how to get there, what to do, what the weather is like, what to wear, and how much you will spend.

When you have a map and an itinerary, you are more likely to get to where you want to go. Forecasts serve as a map of the new year, providing economic, political, and weather forecasts so you know what is going on all over the world. You will see the best sights and avoid getting lost. This way, you are able to enjoy your journey and create positive, lifetime memories. Forecasts are revelations that help you make the right decisions vital for living a progressive life.

Life is more complicated today than it was in the past. In this information age with the internet highway, you literally have the world in the palm of your hand. Whatever happens here in the United States resonates on the other side of the globe, just as what happens there will affect us. We are all connected.

The world now moves at a much faster pace and without foresight - like a racecar that speeds along blindly - unexpected bumps in the road can be devastating. Forecasts allow us to prepare, survive, and excel. In martial arts, if you are prepared for a blow, you will know how to avoid or defend against it and win. As it is in sports, so it is in life, the winner is always the one who is one step ahead.
